F.D.C Congratulates On The Topping-Out Ceremony Of The Megaproject The Landmark 81 – The Pride Of Viet Nam’s Construction Industry

On the morning of March 09th, 2018, Coteccons Group has successfully hold the Topping-out Ceremony of the megaproject The Landmark 81 (Vingroup Cooperation project), marking the finishing of the project which is expected to hand over in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The event was graced by the presents of Mr. Pham Hong Ha – Minister of Construction, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong – Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep – Chairmain of Vietnam Association of Construction Contractor, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang – General Director of Vingroup, Mr. John Campell – General Director of Mace Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong – Chairman of Coteccons Group, many representatives from the Board of Leaders of Ministries at Ho Chi Minh City. This special event also welcomed the participations of the Board of Leaders of members companies, Partners, Clients of Coteccons. On behalf of F.D.C, Mr. Ngo Thanh Phong – General Director attended at the event to congratulate Coteccons.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Ha asserted that The Landmark 81 marked the maturity of Viet Nam Construction Companies in controlling the most modern technology and construction management process, confirming their competence to build supper-high building. This was a symbolic impression of the development of Coteccons Group, Vingroup and Viet Nam Construction Industry. That was the reason why the Ministry of Construction chose The Landmark 81 to honor in the 60 year Anniversary of Viet Nam Construction Industry.

Skyscrapers are not only the symbols of a city or a country but also the evidence of that city’s or country’s potential and rapid economic development. After finishing, The Landmark 81 will be the highest building and the symbol of Viet Nam, ranking Top 10 highest building in the world.

The dream of a skyscraper with Vietnamese impression was no longer a distant one. It came true when Coteccons General Contractor – representative of Viet Nam, surpassing many other large international contractors, won the super-high building contract The Landmark 81.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong shared that Landmark 81 was topped out 45 days before schedule and had more than 9 million safe hours. General Director Mace had said in the their meeting last month that The Landmark 81 was voted the highest quality and safest project of all the projects that he managed in all over the world. With the success of The Landmark 81, Coteccons – the only representative of Viet Nam Contractors entered Top 50 World’s Biggest Contractors for the first time.

At this megaproject, F.D.C was trusted by General Contractor Coteccons and was given a chance to participate in carry out the main foundation and structure of the tower, particularly, 24 elevator cores – one of the most difficult items, which is considered as the “soul” of every Building. By overcoming the challenges of laying the biggest foundation in Viet Nam and the complicated techniques of the elevator cores, F.D.C team was successful to contribute to constructing the hardest part of “the biggest project in Viet Nam”.

F.D.C has had a lot of chances and challenges to carry out the “cutting edge” constructions in Viet Nam through the Landmark project. In the last 2 years, F.D.C has developed rapidly and been more and more sustainable, leaving good impressions on the market, particularly The Landmark 81.

The Landmark 81 project has the total height of 461 meters with 81 floors and 3 basements, the total area of the floors (except for the basements) reaches 141,200 square meters, including: the shopping center, leisure center, hotel, high-end apartment, particularly the highest 360o Observatory in Viet Nam, giving a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
